Baggage regulation on Cat Cocos ferries
Several baggage items are permitted as long as they remain under the total baggage allowance.
Economy class
Free allowance: 25 kg per passenger (including children and infants)
Additional 15 kg allowed for *special sports equipment
Excess luggage: €3 (about SCR 50) per kg beyond the free allowance
Business class
Free allowance: 30 kg per passenger (including children and infants)
Additional 15 kg allowed for *special sports equipment
Excess luggage: €3 (about SCR 50) per kg beyond the free allowance
* Special sports equipment allowance applies only to items like surfboards, stand-up paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, and sails — not to golf or diving gear or bags. Bicycle fees are SCR 100 (about €6) per bike and per trip, payable on site. Luggage regulations are subject to change.

Note: This applies to all ticket types, even to free infant tickets.

Boarding and departure:
Boarding begins 30 minutes before departure.
Boarding gate closes 15 minutes before departure.
Cat Cocos booking amendments
Allowed changes:
All bookings may be modified without limitations up to 3 working days before the scheduled departure date, subject to availability.
If changes to your booking result in a higher or lower fare category, you will either be charged or refunded the difference accordingly.
Within 3 working days before the departure date, you may change your travel dates or times once without penalty, subject to seat availability and approval by the ferry company. However, please note that a free change is not guaranteed.
Any additional changes made within 3 working days of the departure date are not permitted.
In case of changes due to medical reasons, please provide a valid medical certificate to avoid potential cancellation fees for late notice.
Cat Cocos last-minute changes
Booking amendments within 24 hours of departure:
Change requests made within 24 hours of departure must be submitted in person at the Cat Cocos offices in Seychelles at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure time and during regular business hours. A rebooking fee of SCR 25 (about €1.50) per ticket applies and is payable directly at the office.
Any last-minute changes required for travel on Monday or Tuesday must be completed directly at one of the Cat Cocos offices within 24 hours of departure.
It is your responsibility to notify us in a timely manner for any cancellations or changes.
